Our services
Requirements, deadlines and documents for each immigration procedure under the current Regulation (Royal Decree 1155/2024), plus our other areas: foreign investment, criminal, employment and administrative law. This is general information: in the consultation we apply it to your case.
Arraigo (residence through roots in Spain)
Arraigo grants residence to people already living in Spain without a permit. Since 20 May 2025 the required stay is 2 years, and there are five types.

Common requirements
- No criminal record in Spain or in countries of residence in the last 5 years
- No entry ban or no-return commitment
- Full, valid passport
- Proof of continuous stay (padrón and other documents)
After approval
- Social Security registration when the arraigo is based on a contract
- Fingerprint appointment and TIE application within 1 month
- Renewal after the first year

Renewals and long-term residence
Renewing on time protects all your rights. If you apply within the deadline, your permit is treated as extended until the decision.
Renewal
- Filed in the 60 days before expiry or the 90 days after
- Filing outside the ordinary window may lead to a fine
- Contributions, contracts, means and children's schooling are assessed
Modification
- From student to residence and work
- From employed to self-employed, or the reverse
- From reunified family member to own permit
Long-term residence
- 5 years of legal, continuous residence in Spain
- EU long-term: also sufficient means and health insurance
- Card renewed every 5 years
Family reunification and family members
There are three routes depending on who your relative in Spain is: a resident foreigner, a Spanish citizen or a citizen of another EU country.
Family reunification
- For foreigners with a renewed or long-term permit
- Spouse or partner, children and, in some cases, dependent parents
- Housing report and means based on the IPREM index
- Once approved, the relative applies for a visa at the consulate
Family member of a Spanish citizen
- Residence permit for spouse or partner, children and dependent parents
- Governed by the Immigration Regulation since May 2025
- Valid 5 years, work allowed
Family member of an EU citizen
- For relatives of citizens of other EU/EEA countries or Switzerland
- Residence card for family members of Union citizens
- Valid 5 years
Spanish nationality by residence
Residence must be legal, continuous and immediately before the application. We prepare the full file and support you up to the oath.

Requirements
- Good civic conduct and no criminal record
- CCSE exam on the Constitution and Spanish society
- DELE A2 exam, except nationals of Spanish-speaking countries
- Birth certificate and criminal record from your country, legalised and translated
After filing
- The authorities have 1 year to decide
- If they do not answer, you can appeal
- Once granted, you have 180 days to take the oath at the Civil Registry or before a notary
Visas and residence from your country
If you are not yet in Spain, we prepare the application to the consulate or the competent unit with you, and the documents they will ask for.
Study
- Degree, master's, vocational or other training
- Work allowed up to 30 hours a week
- Family members can be included
Non-lucrative residence
- To live in Spain without working
- Sufficient means and private health insurance
Digital nomad and highly qualified
- Remote work for foreign companies or clients
- Highly qualified professionals and entrepreneurs
- Handled by the Large Companies Unit (UGE)
Employment
- Job offer from a Spanish company
- National employment situation or shortage occupation list
Students and changes of status
Under the 2025 regulation, study stays became residence permits, which opens more options after graduation.
While studying
- Yearly renewal while enrolled and making progress
- Work compatible with studies, up to 30 hours a week
After studying
- Switch to residence and employment or self-employment
- Job search or business project
- Time as a student may count for later procedures
Appeals, refusals and expulsions
A refusal is not the end. Deadlines are short and run from the day after notification: bring us the decision as soon as possible.
Reposición or alzada appeal
- 1 month from notification
- Decided by the authority itself
- Useful to add missing documents
Judicial review
- 2 months from notification
- Filed before the court
- August does not count
- Interim measures can be requested
Expulsions and borders
- Fast-track procedure: 48 hours to respond
- Ordinary procedure: 15 days
- Assistance with expulsion orders and in detention centres

Foreign investment

- Since 3 April 2025 no new investor visa (golden visa) applications are accepted
- Existing holders renew under the rules they were granted under
- Alternatives: entrepreneur, highly qualified professional or self-employment permits
Criminal law
Criminal defence with an advantage: we know how each step affects your immigration status. A conviction can prevent a renewal, block nationality or lead to expulsion.
