FAQ
What people ask us most
Do I have to come to the office in person?
No. We see clients in Mislata, a few minutes from central Valencia, or by video call, phone and WhatsApp. Applications are filed online, so we can handle cases before immigration offices anywhere in Spain.
How long does an arraigo take?
The authorities have a legal term of 3 months. If they do not answer, it counts as a refusal (administrative silence) and can be appealed. Actual times depend on each office's workload; we keep you informed.
Can I work while my application is pending?
It depends. For a first application, generally not until it is granted. If you renew on time, your previous permit is extended until the decision and you keep your rights.
What if my application was refused?
Do not miss the deadline. Most decisions can be appealed by reposición within 1 month or before the courts within 2 months. Bring the decision and the exact date you received it.
How much does it cost?
After the first consultation you receive a fixed, written quote. Official fees are paid separately, for example fee 790-052 for the permit or 790-012 for the TIE card.
What is the difference between NIE and TIE?
The NIE is your foreigner identity number and never changes. The TIE is the physical card that proves your residence permit. Once a permit is granted, you book a fingerprint appointment and collect your TIE.
I applied for the extraordinary regularisation and have heard nothing. What now?
The application window under Royal Decree 316/2026 closed on 30 June 2026. If you applied, we can check the status of your file, answer requests and prepare your TIE and future renewal.
