10 years in general; 2 years for Latin America, Portugal, the Philippines, Andorra or Equatorial Guinea; 1 year if married to a Spaniard or born in Spain.
Exams
CCSE and DELE A2 (nationals of Spanish-speaking countries are exempt from DELE).

Requirements
- Good civic conduct and no criminal record
- CCSE exam on the Constitution and Spanish society
- DELE A2 exam, except nationals of Spanish-speaking countries
- Birth certificate and criminal record from your country, legalised and translated
After filing
- The authorities have 1 year to decide
- If they do not answer, you can appeal
- Once granted, you have 180 days to take the oath at the Civil Registry or before a notary
